Noticed while paying bills tonight:

My Verizon (FiOS + Wireless) bill for the month is somehow up $0.09 and so 0.09 cents multiplied by 87 million customers* is like $7,830,000 more dollars for Verizon. And no one will bother to see what fee just changed, and Verizon knows that. Fucking Asshats.
(*87 million customers is a number from a 2010 Verizon press release online)

An ING savings account changed percentages again. It is now 0.80 APR. It drops every month.

A current Chase Visa interest rate is 12.24 APR, with $35 late fee, and possible 29.99 ‘penalty APR’ — 37.5 TIMES the savings rate.

That should be criminal. It was once.

We are headed for Hell.
Corporations and the Asshats that run them are the great satan of our time.

I had to move my prescriptions from Walgreens because corporate greed wouldn’t let Express Scripts and Walgreens agree terms. What the hell do they care about patients, anyway?

Rite Aid’s website was a gawdawful mess, with every new page needing a yet ANOTHER new login + password set up. And then it would just claim that I’d made an error, but there was nowhere on the screen where there WAS one, or any indicator to show me. Moronic.

So I went to CVS. Better website, and acknolodged the Espress Scripts fiasco. But Transferring apparently meant refills for everything I listed. Fine, went in, stood in line, someone took my info from the prescription I needed refilled. Fine.
So now, next day – some 30 hours later – I go to CVS after work and NOTHING. Some kid on speed is being class clown – he’s working there! – and I get shuffled once he remembers, to eventually find out that a note was scribbled on the back of a form from a pad that the my refill needed Doctor approval. WTF? And no one called and it took 20 minutes and 3 people to find that I have to wait ANOTHER FUCKING DAY to refill the thing? JFC!!

Update: Even worse, they tell me they called the doctor to approve twice today (the next day) but that they didn’t get the approval. This is AFTER my call to check later where they first tell me that they don’t have me at all. So now I’m out of that medication. Also they say that all the ones they ‘transferred’ from Walgreens have no refills which is wrong. Did my attempts to use Rite Aid make this shit even worse?

WTF!!!

MegaGinormiCorp™©

I have started this as a central repository for World Domination. Unlike previous arch villains I will succeed because I have seen all the James Bond movies already!
I will now rule with an eye towards my own legacy long after I am dead and rotting in a ditch somewhere. Oh, wait, this isn’t North Korea…

In all seriousness, I see what the RIAA and MPAA as well as Conservative groups like Tea Party and their ‘Elected’ Proxies have done to this Great Country of ours. Democrat or Republican, they are all bought and paid for. Don’t even mention things like regulatory capture issues,

Dagnabit, Muskie! Let’s make it official and just acknowledge that the USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Corporations!

Face it, Congress is just a rubber stamp for any and all corporate needs, and the White House just bows to pressure depending on the alleged affiliation of the officeholder.

Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and PROTECT IP are laws which only the MPAA and RIAA want, to give themselves powers that are unconstitutional, for two organizations that only represent a small fraction of this country’s business interests. These laws would most likely ruin if not kill the Internet as we know it, while at the same time be both ineffectual to their alleged purpose, only harm their own customers, and also most likely be circumvented by those they hope to stop. Grandma’s copy of a song is NOT worth $15,000.

And then there are the Republicans, who are only FOR tax cuts for the wealthy, but will fight to the death against cuts for anyone making less than $100,000/year. There is no evidence that tax cuts for the wealthy has or have ever done anything to help the economy. And let’s pipe oil sludge through places we don’t live in and pretend it is about jobs, or something. Liars.

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is allowed to put complete lies – yes LIES – in his campaign ads, and NO ONE call him on it? The rest of the herd is even worse. How scary is that?

And I’ll go with fellow MassHole Matt Damon, that President Obama has been a bit disappointing. But then again, ALL the Democrats have been a disappointment.

“No Guts no Glory”? Perhaps but more like “Any Guts No Money”.

As an independent, which in Massachusetts is now called ‘Unenrolled”, (like we forgot or neglected to do something) I have issues with both major parties, and also with the fringe ones. I am still waiting for adults to show up. But I’ve been waiting since 1970.

InstallShield is not the software or device you are attempting to install.

This is not the droid you… Ahhhh…..

That is correct, this company has software that cannot be removed. It is allegedly a way to install Other Software, but actually lives to do things even after you remove the original software.

Total Horse Shit. Horseshit Animal Poo, call it what you will.

I removed something years ago and it STILL wants to update it. It is long gone, but these morons still have a hook and want to phone home.

I don’t CARE whether it is CloudMark or InstallShield – which is Flexera, since they all buy & sell each other without regard to the users to avoid liability.

They need to Stop it. Stop it NOW!

Do not EVEN think about giving ME notice of Obligations or Conduct!

The fact that everything is hidden, yes hidden, behind layers of websites, and total lack of real contacts makes it obvious that Cloudmark and Flexera do not care about users of their software.

Who thinks Firefly/Serenity and The Fifth Element are among their favorite science fiction items. Those two are classics, and apparently on the air regularly, recently. Babylon 5 was also a very good, and coherent series, as well. My personal choice was for Firefly to continue, but what I want never happens. Nice that Serenity happened, but sad that the larger worlds couldn’t be explored with the known characters. Who knew the dead pilot would end up as a robot in iRobot. The movie, I mean. Yes, iRobot with Will Smith was a decent shot at the Azimov thing. Positronic brains will not happen in my life time nor perhaps my children’s, but if we cannot dream, what is the point.
